ESSENTIAL BUILDING WORKS AT THE GLEBE MEDICAL CENTRE (HARRIETSHAM)

We would like to inform our patients that essential building works will be taking place at The Glebe Medical Centre, Harrietsham, from Monday 20th July for approximately two weeks.

These works are important improvements to our building and will include:

  • Replacement of the front entrance door.
  • Levelling of the ground around the entrance area.
  • Installation of a new Pharmbox prescription collection facility.

We will share further information about the Pharmbox, including how it will work and when it will be available for patients to use, once installation is complete.

During this period, there will be disruption at the practice while these works are carried out. Our contractors will do everything possible to keep disruption to a minimum, but some noise, delays and temporary changes to access are unavoidable.

Accessing the practice during the works

Please bear with us while these improvements are completed. At times, patients may need to use the side entrance to access the building rather than the usual front entrance.

We understand that any changes to access can be inconvenient, particularly for patients who may require additional support. Our reception team will be available to help and guide patients if there are any difficulties accessing the building or if you are unsure where to go.

If you are attending an appointment during this period, please:

  • Allow extra time for your journey and arrival.
  • Be aware that access routes may temporarily change.
  • Speak to a member of the reception team if you need any assistance.

Please be assured that:

  • Appointments and clinics will continue as normal.
  • Repeat prescriptions will continue to be processed as usual.
  • Prescription collections will remain available from The Glebe Medical Centre as normal.
  • Where possible, we encourage patients to order repeat prescriptions online using the NHS App or your usual online service.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential improvements are completed. These works will help us continue to improve the environment and services we provide for our patients and staff.
