Urgent Appointments

We understand that sometimes you may need to see a doctor or nurse quickly. While we are not an Urgent Treatment Centre or Emergency Service, we do offer a limited number of same-day appointments for urgent health problems that do not need A&E or a 999 call.

How to Book an Urgent Appointment

If you need an urgent, same-day appointment, please call us at 8:30am:

• Harrietsham Surgery: 01622 859 204

Important: Both branches share the same appointment system, so you are not more likely to get an appointment by calling one over the other.

Appointment Availability

• Same-day urgent appointments are limted and offered ona  first-come, first served basis.

• We recommend calling as close to 8:30am as possible to improve your chances of getting one.

• We cannot guarantee availability, especially during busy times such as winter or after bank holidays.

What If We Have No Appointments Left?

If we are fully booked, our team will:

• Offer advice where possible

• Signpost you to other NHS services such as:

  • NHS 111 – for medical advice and support 24/7

  • Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) – for injuries and illnesses that need urgent care but are not life-threatening

  • Local pharmacies – for expert help with minor conditions

Please follow the advice given, as these services are there to help when we cannot safely meet your needs on the day.
