Nurse Practitioner

Williams

Karen Williams has specialist
training to deal with minor
illness that traditionally only
the doctor has been able to deal
with. She can assess you and
provide you with a range of
treatment options including
prescribing medications to
referral to specialists, as well
as providing medical
certificates if appropriate. She
works closely with the doctors
to achieve this role.
Karen is also available for all
chronic disease illnesses where
regular follow up is required.
For example; asthma, diabetes,
coronary heart disease and
respiratory problems.

Jane Kerrigan
In the past Jane has worked
at Charing Cross Hospital and
Benenden Hospital as a theatre
sister. She has also
worked at East Sutton Female
Open Prison. Her
professional interests include
all aspects of health promotion
especially smoking cessation.
Sadly Jane has recently broken
her heel and currently in
plaster. She hopes to be able to
make a safe return to work soon.

Jackie Hehir
Jackie trained at Guy’s
Hospital in 1983 and worked on
various wards there until 1992.
she then moved to Maidstone and
worked at Maidstone Hospital on
the Elective Orthopaedic Ward
and was then promoted to Sister
in 1999 and moved to Trauma
Orthopaedics. She joined
the team at Len Valley Practice
in July 2005 and loves her new
role. Her special interest is
wound care and management.
Jane and
Jackie can give travel advice,
contraceptive advice, undertake
all dressing reviews and wound
care, diabetic checks, asthma
checks, weight monitoring, blood
pressures checks, medication
reviews, ear syringing, ‘ECGs’
to name only a handful of their
abilities.
HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT

Emma offers BP checks,
weight monitoring and ECGs. She
also responsible for the
efficient running of the surgery
with regard to stocks and
supplies.
Phlebotomists

Routine blood test appointments
can be made with our
phlebotomists via reception,
quite well in advance if needed.
Please note that blood test
appointments are available
between 9.00am to 10.30am most
days. Hospital transport comes
to pick up samples daily at
10.30am and so we are unable to
offer any testing after this
time.
